Hot Rod Day in the Dirt 2010
Following on from the blast everyone had at the inaugural event in 2009 the 2010 ‘Hot Rod Day in the Dirt’ delivered an even better turn out of hot rods, old cars and spectator thrills. Open to all cool rides from by gone years the mix of hot rods, customs, muscle cars and nostalgic midgets blasting around dirt and going sideways was a sight to behold. Loads of the big yellow bearing down on all made for a warm day and the event lured in folk from all over the country to participate and watch. Bands belted out classic tunes, plenty of food vendors fed the masses and a bar was set up on sire for cold ones. The hundreds of rides that fronted made for a cool free car show as all hot rods, American rides etc got preferential parking and the laid back atmosphere had a real fifties feel to it with retro clothing on sale and plenty dressed in old school attire too, cool!
Check our website for details of the 2011 version, call or email us for details as well as entries are limited.

Mid Winter Chill Out 2010
The annual ‘Mid Winter Chill Out’ for 2010 rocked! Held on Saturday 7 TH August, it was by far the biggest yet and well patronized by hundreds of rodders who enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, free BBQ and complimentary cold ones from the Tiki Bar. An opportunity to check out the many project rides being wrenched on in the mechanical shop, body shop and paint shop saw many spend plenty of time in the workshops taking photos and enjoying the open day, while in the retail showroom many took advantage of the open day specials including the latest range of products from the Hoffman Group, of which Kruzin Kustoms are the authorized New Zealand distributor for, just one of the many USA hot rod suppliers using Kruzin Kustoms as their agents, others include So Cal, Speedway Motors, MBM Brakes, Heidt’s, Kiwi Konnection plus more. The impromptu hot rod show that developed outside the rod shop drew a large crowd as well, so bring on the 2011 ‘Mid Winter Chill Out’ as we aim to make it even better than the 2010 version, stay tuned here for details, also check out NZ Rodder and Petrolhead magazines coming events section for the details.

‘Hot Rod Day in the Dirt’
November 1 st 2009
Kruzin Kustoms, in conjunction with Auto Parts Palmerston North, hosted the inaugural ‘Hot Rod Day in the Dirt’ out at the Harrisville Speedway track on November 1 ST 2009. The laid back day easily replicated what it would have been like to spend the day at a speedway track stateside, the surroundings are vintage speedway styled, the dirt track one of the country’s best and the feel good flavor of the day had those attending hassling the promoters, Kruzin Kustoms & Auto Parts to host it again the following year! Hot rods, classic rides, vintage speedway vehicles and muscle cars blasted their way around the dirt oval, the crowd was treated to high horsepower rides getting sideways while a rock band belted out classic tunes, a full bar kept punters thirsts quenched, American styled cuisine on offer negated the hunger pangs and if the memory alone wasn’t going to be enough for you, a cool collectors edition t-shirt was on offer (these sold out damn quick)! The Hot Rod Day in the Dirt will be on again in 2010, full details will be listed here, or call us for more info on 08004KUSTOMS.
